What Face Data We Collect

When you use the scan feature, we capture a single photograph of your face to analyze your skin type and provide personalized skincare recommendations.

Face Data is NOT Retained

We do not store, save, or retain your face photos. Your face image is:

• Captured temporarily in device memory only
• Sent directly to our AI service for analysis
• Immediately discarded after analysis is complete
• Never saved to our servers or any database
• Never used for facial recognition or identification purposes

Third-Party AI Service (OpenAI)

Your face photo is transmitted to OpenAI's Vision API (api.openai.com) for AI-powered skin analysis. Below is detailed information about this data sharing:

What Data is Sent

• A single photograph of your face/skin captured by your device camera
• The image is transmitted securely via HTTPS to api.openai.com

Who Receives Your Data

• OpenAI, LLC - A third-party artificial intelligence company based in San Francisco, CA, USA
• OpenAI processes your image using their GPT-4 Vision API to analyze skin characteristics

How OpenAI Handles Your Data

• Purpose: To analyze skin characteristics and generate personalized skincare recommendations
• No Training: According to OpenAI's API data usage policy, images sent via the API are NOT used to train their AI models
• No Retention: OpenAI does not retain images submitted via the API after processing is complete
• No Storage: Neither we nor OpenAI permanently store your face photos

OpenAI provides equivalent or greater privacy protections for your data, including:

• Enterprise-grade security and encryption
• SOC 2 Type II compliance

Our app is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
